Croatian pizzerias and pizzaioli have become an increasingly recognized part of the international pizza community. In recent years, Croatian pizzerias have appeared in major European and global guides, and Croatian pizzaioli have achieved top results at international competitions.

Over the past three years, Croatian pizzaioli have brought home two gold medals from the Trofeo Caputo, the world championship of pizzaioli traditionally held each year in Naples.

Previous Winners

In 2023, the Croatian national team won gold in the national teams category, represented by Boris Lukšić from Franko’s in Zagreb, and Tomislav Perić and Alen Radanović from Novi Saloon in Osijek.

In 2024, Alen Radanović repeated the success individually by winning first place in the Pizza Stagioni category.
